Is it true that most of shops closed on saturday and sunday especially on augest?

Almost every shop in Italy is closed on sundays, and many of them are closed even on saturdays.
Moreover, during the summer many stores close for holidays, but probably the mountainware stores located on the mountains will stay opened. Try to send them an email, though.
