I read the reviews on many a tent and also sought advise from outdoorsy friends however I wanted something that did the job for wild camping jaunts without any bells and whistles.

I looked at the Banshee and drooled considerably but all my friends have one so, I bought the Lichfield just to be different as the spec in all honesty is quite similar. Apart from it only coming in one colour (I was thankful of this later on!) the tent itself was robust and quick to pitch. Even though you pitch the inner first (a pain when on a fell side in pouring rain) this doesn't take very long at all. In fact; I'm a woman, I didn't read the instructions, and it was up in just over 5 minutes!

The strapping in stead of lengths and lengths of guy ropes is a great detail too and adds to the stability of the pitch. The only down side are the flimsy pegs which bend easily in rocky ground so you'd be better off purchasing better ones separately.

NY Eve spent in the Langdales with friends soon put this tent to the test. It's cosy for a 2 man, really cosy and once full of kit and sleeping bags etc, you'd have to be very good friends with the person you're sharing with! There's not much headroom but the lack of height reduces buffeting from the wind.

There's just enough room in the doorway for poles/boots so it could have been a tad more generous but, they stayed dry during the wind and hail. A little more overhang would have been good just to stop the small waterfall running onto your head as you open the inner to stick your head a little way out and gaze out into the world but again, no biggie!

I didn't wake up in a pool of water and there were no icy blasts making their way through plus there was no condensation build up either. I am rather impressed!

All in all, good for the price apart from it being blue but this did help distinguish it from the sea of Vango's in their trademark green when slightly squiffy on rosé! Anyway, I'd definitely recommend as a good little 3s tent to carry up the fells especially as it's light and quick to pitch. I've kept the inner lining attached for the next venture so will see if it can be pitched all in one!

This is labeled up with two person tent, in my opinion it is barely a one person tent for an average sized man.

First thing I did was set it up and spend the night in it. This is my input.

I am 5'11" and found that my toes and head were being touched by the inner tent material. Sleeping at a slight angle will eliminate this. Although if two people are in this tent then that would be a problem.

It says 2 person but it would be very tight, and then storing gear would be a problem. With no porch the gear has to be stowed in the tent leaving even less room.

On the positive the tent is waterproof it rained heavily and I was dry.

Also the tent is extremely light weight and quick to pitch. Shame it has a seperate fly sheet which means putting it up in the rain would allow the inside to get wet as that has to be errected first then the flysheet goes over. Looking at the picture it looks like its all one unit so was a bit let down there.

Verdict: If you want a light weight tent and not too fussy about how much room you have then this is a good choice
otherwise look for something a little larger.

I know this is sold as a 2 man tent, but anyone with a modicum of bulk (I'm 6' and 16 stone) will find that this tent is just right for solo adventures with gear. I just returned from a 20 day Autumn cycling trip through northern Spain and can state categorically that this tent is more than "fit for purpose". Completely watertight, light, has high wind resistance and goes up in under the advertised 10 minutes. It also has a bug proof mostly mesh inner that can be used on its own when it's too hot or you just want to stare up at the stars. Originally priced at just under £200, I bought this at Amazon for under £40! Seriously folks, if you can still get one at that price don't hesitate, you won't regret it.

PS. I would recommend upgrading the pegs before setting out on a lengthy trip, I found them a bit too bendable.

This tent is AMAZING ! maybe a little tight (cozy !)if you are camping with a partner but no problems (i'm a big bloke and me and my partner can get in with our kit) The tent is well made and well thought out, nothing like leaving the outer skin off on a warm night and star gazing through the mesh roof ! Compared with MANY of the expensive tents out there the Treklite holds it's own easily, better in most cases, it's light, easy to erect, cheap without loss of quality, and BLUE, very blue !! If you own a bike, backpack, camp on the garden, go to festivals (you won't loose it, it's the BLUE one !)buy a Trekkie, you wont regret it.

A great little tent which I bought via Amazon. Lightweight, well made and cleverly constructed. As it is basically a modified Vango Banshee, the support from the manufacturers was second to none. I had a small problem with one of the locking clips but an E-mail quickly resolved the issue in the most pleasant manner. I cannot therefore, recommend this too highly.

    What Can I say,
This tent is 99% identical to the older model vango banshee 2000 (with the inner first set up)

good tent that is easy to pitch once you get the hang of it, and has kept me dry in all weathers,
the tent bag it came with was useless and ripped on the second use, but that is easily replaceable, the tent itself is much better constructed

as for being a 2 man tent well if you have no kit and are on intimate terms i guess you could fit 2 in this tent at a squeeze,
for 1 person tho its fine!

Definitely not a 2man tent but an excellent 1 man micro with room for rucksack and clothes inside with boots in the doorway. Nothing is this price range packs down as small or is as light. Have used extensively in fairly severe conditions with no problems.
